Hi, hope you’re all well
I have severe OCD so recently had a PIP assessment - I made it clear how my intrusive thoughts made small tasks like cooking, showering, going in my flat and getting dressed extremely challenging. I have recieved a letter telling me I had not been awarded and only got two points! Two?! Perhaps they don’t know how to assess OCD but this isn’t right in my opinion.
I plan on appealing and if necessary going to tribunal - does anyone have any advice on what to say next and how to go about it? Are success rates high?
Any and all help is immensely appreciated.

Mandatory Reconsideration comes first and you need to put this in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points. When you filled out the form if you didn't give a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you, you should do that.Include detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were. You should aim for at least half an A4 side of paper per descriptor that applies.I can't tell you exactly what you should write because i don't know anything about your conditions or how they affect you.MR decisions only have about a 23% success rate so quite low. Tribunal has a much higher success rate of about 70% providing you either appear in person or have a telephone/video hearing. Paper based hearings success rate is exceptionally low at only about 5-8%.0

Also if i r day to day varies with your condition make sure you are clear what way you feel the majority of the time0

Use the correct form. Give your own examples. Make sure you get Proof of Postage.
