FND diagnosis or not…

I finally had my neurology appointment last Friday and the neurologist ‘thinks’ I may have functional neurological disorder. Whilst I was relieved to have a name to what I may have, I’m feeling unsettled if I’ve got it or not. I found the whole experience difficult as I felt the appointment was rushed and a few times she talked over me.
Also I’m not sure if I should say something to work or not? I’m no longer having spasms which I’m obviously pleased about but I do get numbness in my right leg and right arm. Also I often feel fatigued and struggle with remembering words (or is this an age thing) as I’m going through the menopause.
Looking for support and any wise words, thanks

It can be problematic when a specialist 'thinks' you may have something, so can well imagine the quandary you're in. It's often a relief to get a diagnosis, but that doesn't seem certain from what you've said, & feeling rushed & not listened to is never good! You could ask to discuss this with your GP, who may know you better to get their opinion. If you haven't asked for a copy of the neurologist's report/this wasn't offered, it might be best to wait 2-3 weeks to give your GP chance to receive this report themselves. In the meanwhile, being a great believer in a person knowing their own body the best, you might find it helpful to look at this website on FND:https://www.fndaction.org.uk/ to see if it sounds like you. If unsure you could then always ask your GP to refer you for a 2nd opinion.Depending on how your current problems affect your ability to work, if they do, I can see nothing wrong in mentioning this to your employers to see if they can help you further with say 'reasonable adjustments,' or just to make them aware as to any difficulties you face.

@chiarieds; This is helpful and makes sense I speak again with my GP. Thanks also for the link I’ll go take a look.1
