Hello! I don't know if I have picked the right room to post this (please move if necessary) I just wanted to tell someone, out there, that I am awaiting my adult autism assessment - this Friday - and I'm feeling extremely nervous and worried about it all.

Following the assessment I am going to make an application for PIP and reading all your posts about this subject has been hugely helpful, thank you!

Anyway, if anyone has done this assessment and wants to chat please reply or DM me - happy to chat to whoever.

PIP isn't based on a diagnosis so you can put that application in now if you wish, when you get your assessment report you can send it later on. I thought it was worth mentioning to speed up the process for you.

Oh, bg844 - that is such a good point! I just thought I would need to list what my diagnoses are, that's all. But if not, then I guess there's nothing to hold me up! Thanks again for the really good point!

@DiscoPony Good luck with the assessment! Please try not to worry, which I know is easier said than done! At the end of the day, the assessment will help guide you with your situation :) Please keep us updated!
