Possible missed call

9 weeks ago I received a text message informing that my PIP claim is with Independent Assessment Services (IAS). Based on this timing I am expecting a follow up message with either an appointment for an assessment, or a "we have all the information we need", any time around now.
Yesterday I received an incoming call from a "No Caller ID" number, I was driving so I obviously didn't answer.
They didn't try again and left no message.
Is it likely this was IAS/PIP, or would they have tried again or at least left a message?
If it was them, what happens now that I missed the call?
Thank you.

PIP usually ring from an 0800 number rather than no caller ID.You can try contacting IAS to ask if they rang. If an assessment is needed they will send you an appointment letter. If it was them they may not leave a message. Some people are still waiting several months after the last text you received.1

Just to clarify one thing,
Do the decision makers work for IAS as well, or do they work directly for the DWP and so would call from a DWP number?
Thanks.0 -
Decision makers don’t work for IAS. They work for DWP. They would call from a DWP 0800 number. As your file is with IAS a decision maker would only ring now once the report is returned. (Even then you shouldn’t expect them to ring)0

Thanks Poppy.
Just an update. Had a call from them again and answered. It was them. A very nice and kind person asked me a few questions and said they will write a report which will go to the DWP who will make a decision.2 -
That’s great news, it will mean you’ll have a paper based assessment. In my opinion this can only be good news. I hope you’re not waiting too long for a decision once the report is returned.1
