edited July 2023 in PIP, DLA, and AA
I applied for PIP on the 17 May 2023
Had PIP assessment on 6 July
Received a payment on 20 July  of 588.29
Rang them and auto told me I would receive another payment on 11 Aug of 284.00

I haven't rec'd any letter and I cannot work out what I have been awarded

The 284.00 is obviously mobility rate ie 71 x 4 = 284
but what is the 588.29 for

I have obviously been awarded mobility so does that mean I have also been awarded the daily living component as well?

Are both the the daily living and mobility payments paid into my bank at the same time are or both paid separately and at different times?

Confused, completely as to what I am now in receipt per week and per month

many, many thanks

The £284 suggests it’s Enhanced mobility only. However the automated payment line has been known to give incorrect information.

From the date you applied up until 12th July is 8 weeks and that would be £568 money owed. How much exactly will depend on when the cut off date was. The  money you received in your bank does suggest you’ve been award Enhanced mobility and no daily living.

You can either wait for the letter or ring them to ask. If you disagree with the decision you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration.

    thanks for that

just to clarify. I thought you cannot get mobility allowance without the daily living component? It seems odd to be given mobility without being given daily living as well. It seems illogical that you can get mobility and not daily living. How can I get mobility If I do not quality for daily living? it seems odd

    anyway, many thanks

That’s not correct. You can be awarded any part of PIP, with it without the mobility part. There’s many others that claim just the mobility part.

You're welcome. Remember, you can challenge that decision by requesting the MR. You should put that in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points.
