Hi
After some time, I’ve finally received a text message as follows. Could anyone tell me if this is likely to be a positive or negative outcome.

Your PIP review is complete. You should receive your decision letter in 2 weeks. Once you receive your letter, contact us if you have any questions. Do not call before you get the letter as we will not be able to tell you the decision. Please remember to contact us if your circumstances change.

It was paper based for review on change of circumstance after being discharged from hospital.0 -
Hi! Did you find out what you got in the end?I’m a puddle of anxiety since I got this text this morning and I didn’t have an assessment.0

What did your text say @floralora ?

Then that just means you'll get your decision letter soon. If you didn't have an assessment, then they've been able to make a decision without that.0

I got turned down for the mobility award despite having lung surgery in June due to complications from pneumonia. I can’t walk 20-50m without stopping. I’ve applied for a mandatory reconsideration after my GP wrote a letter himself explaining how serious it was, life threatening in his words. So now I’m waiting for the outcome of that.0

It's a standard text and doesn't mean anything other than a decision has been made. You can ring them on Monday morning at 9am when they open to ask them what the decision is and they will tell you.

They have asked not to ring until I get the letter as they can’t say over the phone0

Yes, they usually advise you this but it doesn't mean you can't ring them.

Hi there people, finally had the decision about my mandatory reconsideration yesterday after through a phone call. I don’t know if anyone can shed any light on this, but I put the mandatory declaration in about 3 months ago. I was discharged from hospital on the 20th June & got turned down at 1st for the mobility component. After reviewing the mandatory reconsideration and further medical evidence from my GP, they thankfully awarded me the enhanced rate. I’m not sure when this will be backdated from, as I’m not sure if it will be from when I was discharged as I think you don’t get the 1st month after, I don’t know what he exactly said as I was totally relieved that I was awarded the mobility component. I’m just asking if anyone else has been in the same situation.
Many Thanks to everyone that comment on my thread.
Merry Christmas Everyone

That's great news to have the decision changed at MR stage! PIP only stops if you're in hospital for more than 28 days. The day you go in and come home are not counted. Once you come home if you go back in within 28 days then those days are linked with your previous hospital stay.If it was a change of circumstances where you rang them to report the changes then you will be owed money from the date you rang to report it.1
