Holiday abroad, do you tell DWP?

I've started saving for a one week holiday abroad in summer 2024, this is probably one of the few times where I will actually get out of the house, I get UC LCWRA and PIP, would it be a good idea to tell UC and PIP before I go abroad just so they know it's only temporary? But then could they possibly use that to reassess me at some point if they think me being able to go abroad is a change in my condition? Would I need to tell both individually or could I just tell UC in my journal and as it's part of the DWP it could be passed on?

For UC as you don't have any work commiments you don't need to tell them that you're going. You only need to report it if you're going for longer than 1 month. For PIP, you should only tell them if you're expecting a review around the time you go. 1 weeks holiday will not affect it. I've been abroad quite a few times since claiming PIP and have never reported it. m1

But, you must not be tempted to put details/photos of the holiday on Facebook. The DWP regularly review social media and if they see something that looks iffy - they could use it to open an investigation when you come back.
A friend of ours was claiming PIP for a so called industrial back and leg injury. He told the DWP that he could only walk 10m once. He also indicated to them that he could not dress or wash himself. He was awarded PIP.
The idiot actually had his wife video him water skiing whilst in the sea in the Med which he then posted on Facebook!
Surprised - not, his PIP award was suspended whilst he was under investigation. He lost the award and had an overpayment to pay back.1
