PIP Question

I received my first PIP payment at the start of April this year, however, on my statement of entitlement, it says I was awarded PIP from August 2021 to May 2025. This does seem to line up with when I first made a claim, but I was wondering if it's normal to start to receive payments that long after the award date?

Yes perfectly normal to have an award length of this long. The minimum length is 1 year and the maximum in 10 years.

Thank you for commenting, I meant more is it normal to receive PIP for only 2 years out of the 4 I was awarded since I didn’t receive payments for the first 2?0

Yes, perfectly normal because as i advised you can be awarded anything between 1 and 10 years. I've known some people be awarded by a Tribunal and by the time they've had their decision the PIP award has actually ended.
