I get a lot of interesting, odd, and sometimes disturbing dreams, many of which are repetitive, and I wonder if they have any sort of meaning.

I’d be interested to hear what people think, and also interested to hear from people sharing their own dreams that they found interesting, maybe we can share our thoughts about what they mean. Just meant to be a bit of fun but semi-serious.

A more typical one. I often have dreams related to driving. A frequent one is where I am driving my car and have some sort of accident. Often I will drive into water or off of a high up ledge. After the accident I usually wake up. I say this is one of the more typical dreams because apparently falling off somewhere and then waking up is very common.

Another frequent car-related dream is where the car’s controls are extremely surreal. I will switch between driving the car normally, to the pedals being the wrong way round or not existing at all, and there being hand controls instead. Then, even weirder, I will be pushing the car by hand or even somehow picking it up and carrying it. Or doing other things that physics puts a stop to like jumping over other cars or turning round on the spot and driving in the other direction.

A more disturbing one, frequent dreams that I am some sort of fighter, have been both an old fashioned one with a sword/axe and a modern soldier with a gun. The “baddies” are people I went to school with. I am very violent in these dreams, often killing several people. I am not ashamed to share this because it’s not a thought that I have control over - I don’t fantasise about harming school peers when I am awake. I was bullied quite a lot at school, and school life was not that enjoyable for me.

Any ideas? Or anyone want to share strange dreams of their own?

I have a load more I can share like dreams where my OCD is horribly triggered then I wake up and realise I am clean. Also lots of good dreams as well, they are not all bad!!

Driving normally then trying to break but lose all control. 

Sometimes I crash and wake up.

Sometimes I just start flying in the car.
