Good morning everyone.
I was put into the support group ESA about a month ago. My doctor has just received an assessment form this week to fill in, is this normal after I have already been awarded? Also I thought that ESA was indefinite and another assessment could be anytime but my award letter says until 27th November 2023?
TIA

That does seem rather odd that they received the form after the decision was made. As your ESA is New style then the award letters with the calculations only ever tell you that it's until the end of November. This is to do with the £10 Christmas bonus and the qualifying week being first week of December so your money for that 1 week will increase by that amount. You are correct that Support Group is on ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise. A lot of people panic about those letters. It's just another one of ESA's badly worded letters.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thank you , thought it was strange that I'd only been awarded for 5 months! Guess I will just have to wait regarding doctors input, she didn't really put much on the form as I'm mostly under specialists 🤔

I wonder if the letter may have been caught up and was sent by the decision maker? I know I've sent things before to my GP and it's taken a good month for it to end up on anyone's desk. You'd hope this wouldn't happen but it does. I've known in a few circumstances when they've not had a reply they've gone ahead and made a decision without it.
I'm glad @poppy123456 was able to help regarding award date and congratulations on the award @1cequeen.Community Manager

Thank you, hopefully they don't change the decision 🙈

I would say that’s very unlikely.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
