Just wondering what people's favourites are?
It's a hard one for me because I just love food in general ... Indian, Chinese, French, Italian, African, Carribbean, Asian, Middle Eastern and of course our own British cuisine...
But my favourite has to be Japanese, especially sushi.

That looks so good @66Mustang Glad it's nearly dinner time!
I'd say Italian is my favourite. Can never say no to pasta!1 -
@Hannah_Scope Italian is a good one, agree about pasta, so hearty and wholesome, we have an Italian near us that is really good and £7 at lunchtime for a meal and glass of wine that you can swap for a soft drink if you want, I love the pasta dumplings "gnocchi" I think?
What's your favourite dish?0 -
That is a good deal @66Mustang!
I'd say it's between rigatoni with Bolognese and lasagna but with wedges! How about you? Which is your favourite sushi dish?1 -
I also love Italian food, & it would be my favourite, but I also like French cuisine. There are also moments where I simply crave fish & chips!

Difficult, difficult question. I'm not sure I can really answer it. I also have a love for Japanese food but lately I've been really enjoying Korean cuisine.1
-
A hard question for me it depends on the mood although I do enjoy a Chinese but I do like the good old Fish and chips however that being said I do love a Sunday roast.1

Mine is Itialian1

I don't have a favourite I like everyone's food lol plus good old English food.1

@66Mustang my youngest daughter would love you! Her all time favourite food is sushi. She went out yesterday with her sister to a Japanese restaurant and that's what they both had.My favourite has to be Chinese, with Italian coming 2nd. Love good old fish and chips too but have to have curry sauce with it.1

Thanks for all the answers!!
Maybe should have made this a poll, but then again, I think there are more than 10 different cuisine locations!!
@Jimm_Scope forgot about Korean, that is indeed very nice! I believe South Korea is very friendly with America politically and culturally, I have found that their food is sort of like Asian but with an American/Western influence? Might have interpreted that wrong but thats how I noticed it to be?
Poppy - she is very lucky to have a sister who likes sushi that she can go with! I find the main problem is finding someone to go with, no one in my family likes sushi. I do have one friend who likes sushi but he is an hours drive away and I've not been able to visit in person since Covid, hoping I will be able to get my confidence back up and go and meet up again soon.
@Wilshyboy I love Jerk chicken...we have a Caribbean/Jamacian (not sure which, apologies I get them mixed up) guy who comes in a truck to serve street food including Jerk Chicken every week and it is so delicious and colourful.

Think Italy is the clear winner so far!0

@66Mustang There are some dishes that are indeed very influenced by the American army's presence in South Korea. There's a dish called "Army soup" which is a mish-mash meal of Korean staples in a lovely broth and also with spam and American cheese slices. They love their fermented pastes and food such as kimchi. Now, I am actually not a fan of kimchi but gochujang and ssamjang, 2 of the many varieties of fermented pastes they use, have become staples in my kitchen.1

British, closely followed behind by Italian! I do love all my food however and usually I'm open to trying anything (in moderation of course
)

@Jimm_Scope that's interesting!! Army Soup sounds strange but I want to try it! Nice that you can get the pastes over here as well. I was going to say, I wonder what North Korean food is like in comparison, but I worry it is merely, "whatever they can get their hands on".
@bg844 yep I am up to trying most things but I do have limits to what I am willing to try ha ha!1 -
@66Mustang I'd say I'm fairly open but there's some things I'll down right refuse to eat. I remember a post was put on here asking what foods do we dislike and I wrote Eggs, let's just say I got a strong reaction back and got shamed for it
I do often visit Wagamama with a friend as his favourite cuisine is Japanese too but I only ever get the same thing lol, might have to try something else next time.0 -
@66Mustang all good humour, the list goes on for me... Be sure to let me know when you've visited, I think you'll love it!
