Any money owed will be in your bank 3-5 working days after payment was sent.
If you want to know what you’ve been awarded and when to expect payment you can ring PIP to ask.0 -
Hi thanks for your reply will they text me to say payment has been sent or do I have to wait for a letter thanks0

Congratulations on being awarded @littlepea123! I bet that feels such a relief

Yes it is a relief I just don't know what I've been awarded yet I've been living of £130 a week since I found out I had stage 2b cervical cancer and need to pay some rent arrears ASAP. So the first payment I'm hoping I get soon will sort that out for me just don't know what and when feels like I'm waiting for everything all the time xx but does feel good that it's finally being sorted xxx0

I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis, I hope you have support?
The wait can be so frustrating! I hope everything comes in for you soon! Please keep us updated with your health, I hope we can be a support for you in the community0 -
Hi I'm claiming esa so don't get any help with rent I have to claim universal credit to claim housing benefit. I've tried to get rent reduction but couldn't get that either so I'm hoping once I get the pip award letter I will be able to get rent reduction thank you for all your help. X0

Yes a claim for UC would needed for help with any rent. It’s unlikely you will get a rent reduction even with a PIP award.
If you have no other household income then there should be some entitlement to UC. If it’s £129.50/week you’re receiving from ESA then you’re in the Support Group. This means you’ll be entitled to LCWRA element of UC from the start of your claim. If you live with a partner you will need to claim as a couple and your joint circumstances will be taken into consideration. Use a benefits calculator to check entitlement to UC.The ESA will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement. Your ESA will continue as normal because it’s not part of UC. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculator0 -
Thank you for your help x0

Hi everyone just letting you know I got the high rate for pip which I'm grateful for. I feel like my life as come to a full stop I really don't know what to do with myself. I'm a fidget I really don't like sitting still but after radiotherapy I have nerve damage and waiting to find out if my cancer as gone. I find that out on the 4th September I feel frustrated unhappy and depressed all the time. I find it hard to say how I'm feeling. Don't ask me why I've wrote this I don't know what anyone can do I just feel I needed to write it0

I don't know what it's like to have nerve damage but is there anything you could do to keep busy? It must be hard to be kept waiting and also not be able to do the things you normally do. I hope you get the all clear on the 4th @littlepea1231
