Hello @scottlew. Thank you for reaching out to us. It sounds positive that you have been awarded LCWRA.
Unfortunately, I do not know what dates you will get LCWRA. Does it say anything about this in your warding letter?
If not, I am hoping one of our wonderful community members with personal experience in receiving LCWRA will be able to respond to you soon0 -
Decision letters for the WCA are standard letters and they don't give any information on when the extra money is paid form.scottlew said:Hello I've been awarded lcwra claim from 10 January 2023 relevant period to 10 April award element start 10 April so as of now they owe 4 payments anyone know what dates I will get lcwra I get uc on 16th of every month thanks Scott
What date exactly did you report your health condition? Did you provide a fit note within 7 days of that and continue to send them without any gaps until a decision was made on your assessment?0 -
Hello yes fit note provided 10 January 2023 no gaps0

That means your waiting period will be Jan to April.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 10th April to 9th May and first payment will be 16th May.Money owed will be paid separately to your usual monthly money and often takes quite a few weeks to pay what is owed. Before they can do this they will need to recalculate your past statements to work out how much you've already received, against what you should have received and you will then be owed the difference between the 2. Once it's done you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you how much is owed and it will then be paid into your bank account.Going forward your UC maximum entitlement will increase by £390.06/month. LCWRA is part of UC and will be included in your usual monthly money. You will need to check your next statement to make sure the element is included. Please note, my advice assumes you're not claiming UC with a partner that already receives the LCWRA element on your claim.0
