Hello @Michyh
Sorry to hear you have been having panic attacks. I have silent anxiety attacks that wipe me when I feel overwhelmed. It is common. A lot of people assume panic attacks are always vocal or noticeably physical. Can I ask, do you see anyone for your anxiety?0 -
Hi,
yes I have seen a cbt therapist and we worked well with the Programe. I’m on an antidepressant for the anxiety and panic, but they still happen about 4/5 a month for no reason. It’s the physical sensations that are the worst for me. I know I’m not sick or dying from anything and won’t come to any harm from the episodes. But they are just awful and I find I’m trying harder and harder not to let them rob me of living a full life and doing things. As there is no trigger that brings them on it hard to know when, where it will happen. And that freaks me out as they take so long to go away. And hard to do use in anything other then how I’m feeling at that moment.I do the breathing, and the dare tactics. Just wish I never had them, as the fear of having them is hard. And the more I do have the more I think about it. Sometimes I won’t have any for a month or so and then there are months that I have so many of them. I’m seeing my doc on the 6th, hoping he might be able to help. What techniques do u use to help you?Thank u for replying0 -
I'm glad to hear you have support from a CBT therapist. Hope the doctor will be able to help more
I'm so sorry to hear you feel like that, I also feel the same at times. I had a lot of support from my CBT therapist and had the breathing techniques. I also started journaling which I still do now.
It helped with therapy sessions and helps now when I feel I need to tackle something. I thought that my panic attacks were coming out of nowhere and journaling helped me see where they were coming from. I change the outlook which can take work and time. I also find journaling soothing and I can use my creative skills.
My favourite tool to have is Headspace. I believe the app now costs, but there are free sessions on YouTube. I just focus on listening to them and breathing and I can calm.0 -
It’s the sensations that I fear the most.0
