Mobility w/o daily living?

Hi all,

I got awarded pip which I'm indescribably thankful for. I got a payment this morning without my decision letter, and my amount confuses me a bit. Going back from when I started the claim, this payment works out as standard mobility only. I didn't even think I would get awarded mobility, but it seems that's all I've been paid. Should I wait until I get my decision letter or just assume I'll only get mobility? My daily living is heavily impacted by my disabilities and longterm health problems. I'm very confused. Is it paid in two chunks? I don't want to seem ungrateful because I'm definitely very thankful.

Usually money owed is paid as one lump sum. The only exception to that is if you owe DWP any money, they can send some of the money they owe you to debt management. Although it is possible to be awarded just the mobility part.

Once you know what the decision is if you disagree you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration.

First of all, welcome to the community. Secondly, congrats on getting PIP! It can certainly be a journey to get to the stage you're at.

Indeed, once you get the letter you can request a Mandatory Reconsideration. While of course you are grateful for what you have got, you should get what you deserve for how your conditions affect you.

Let us know how you get on @kingpenguin, we always like to hear outcomes and how people got there.
