@bg844 I hope so 🤞thank you for replying my anxiety through the roof atm this process doesn’t help with my mental health at all really makes it worse and from reading posts on here seems every one is the same did you have a assessment with them ? And roughly if so how long was the whole process0

After advising, reading and helping others personally, assessments are being completed quite quickly at present (I know you may think it's been a long process and of course that's natural). Going back to Covid times, assessments did reach a peak of many months to over a year in some cases.
The last person I personally helped applied in early April with an assessment mid-May and a decision early June. I'm sorry I can't specifically give a time frame it's just everyone's cases are different and areas vary time-wise.
Good luck and if you have any more questions on anything, please do ask and someone will help you further.0 -
@bg844 thank you very much yes it feels like forever I suffer with anxiety disorder and depression amongst other things so I think that’s why I’m stressing about it yeah I have seen on here some people are pretty quick hopefully will get a assessment soon0

I'm sorry to hear this is effecting your anxiety disorder @zoet1 I just wanted to check in and ask if you have support around you?0

@Hannah_Scope thank you for reaching out , yes I do have some support around me unfortunately doesn’t stop this anxiety but just waiting now hopefully hear something soon I hope0

@bg844 @Hannah_Scope just wondering when I do have a assessment how long should I wait to ask for a copy of report and depending on what the report says if it’s not what I think I should of got do you start MR straight away or wait for the decision letter first thanks0

@zoet1 We are here too If you need someone to talk to, we have the Coffee Lounge for chats and games.
In my opinion, I wouldn't ask for a copy of the report if you are feeling so anxious. But I can understand that preparing can be a help for a lot of people with anxiety. I'd give it a week or two before asking if you want to.
I'd always wait for the decision letter before starting the MR process (if it's even needed. Fingers crossed!). Just because the decision maker(s) may not go fully with the report.0 -
@Hannah_Scope thank you I will pop over to coffee lounge might take my mind off it , yes I was thinking that as I’ve seen another member with a report stating standard but then the decision letter has been denied so I understand now that the report is not a decision as such but feel like at least I can get a idea of what coming in order to get prepared if needed for MR my anxiety has gotten worse from no updates and not knowing hopefully get a assessment soon0
-
@zoet1 I hope it does! Yeah I have friends who feel preparing for every inevitability helps their anxiety and others that's it's best to know when they can actually do something about it. I am keeping everything crossed for you!0

My review form went back in May 2022. I had my assessment in July 2023 and decision in August 2023.
