You never know! With my ancestry research I found the son of my 2 x Great Uncle. 94 living abroad and was able to give me insight into loads of family stuff!

I don't think I'd pick famous people.
I'd like to interview, wouldn't go as far as to say random people, but just general public who have lived a life.
Maybe a war veteran - ideally a pilot. Or a civilian/child who was about during WW2, or a Jewish person who went on the run maybe? A police detective who was at the peak of their career during the 70s. A retired lifetime doctor or nurse who has seen the rise & fall of the health service.
I remember a newspaper had a "Ask A White Van Man" section where they asked a random person on the street what they thought about issues. Was much more interesting than hearing from the so-called experts!!!0
