Hi applied for adult disability payment for prolapsed disc in back and had major surgery and just went through Acl knee surgery but didn’t know if I would be accepted

Hi @lyndastrang - & welcome to the community. Have you heard anything further since applying for ADP? It seems to have many similarities with PIP, where it's not about any diagnoses, rather how your disability affects you relating to activities of daily living &/mobility. How are you doing now following your knee surgery?

Aw I’ve called them up each week asking if I’ve gave enough support information as they told me to get patient summary and medication list from doctors and upload to help them when case manager has picked up my case to make decision. Didn’t need verification from them as it’s passed that stage . My husband has gave brief letter what my day to day is like also. I’m hoping with medical records showing surgery’s I’ve had and application should be enough for decision. I don’t know how long the que is taking to be picked up.

I’m doing ok just trying to get back to walking again and building up strength. Universal credits have been nightmare applying for that

That’s been 6th July not with case manager yet but said I’ve uploaded lots of support information so fingers crossed

Just got case manager so don’t know how that will take. It’s been 16 weeks for application submitted
