PIP review standard to enhanced mobility.....

hi
I recieved my PIP assessment report today. The assessor has scored me to get enhanced mobility. I have been on standard for a few years. I was just wondering if it goes in my favour with the decision maker will I get it backdated to when I sent in my review form in December?
I completely understand that it was only the assessors report and that isn't the final decision but I just want to be prepared.
Thanks so much for this invaluable forum. its the first time I haven't felt alone on my PIP journey

If they do increase your award then in normal times you wouldn't get backdated. However, due to the long delays some Case Managers are applying discretion and are backdating from the date you was sent a review form, this may or may not happen in your case so I always advise to see any potential backpay as a bonus rather than a given.0

In normal times for reviews started by DWP they don't normally backdate the award to an earlier date. However, due to the backlogs for reviews they are sometimes awarding from an earlier date but it's not guaranteed and there doesn't seem to be any consistency with who receives it and who doesn't. Some do and some don't.
