LCWRA payment confusion

Hi, so i recently got the news back that i have lcwra and i was just very confused about when i’ll be receiving my payment. So i gave UC my first fit note on 03/04/2023, i then had my assessment on 29/08/2023. I just got my decision back yesterday (10/09/2023) saying that i have lcwra and that i’ll be getting paid more UC and i just wanted to know if i’d be getting that extra money this month (i get my UC on the 27th of every month). I hope this is enough information for someone to help! thanks again. I also heard that i could potentially be owed money if it’s back dated/logged or something like that?

Hi @newmoon777 - & welcome to the community. Based on what you've said, & providing you have continuous fit notes , with no gaps:There is a 3 full month waiting period (in which the extra LCWRA elememt isn't paid), with payment due in the 4th month. In your case this will be from 27July, so it will be backdated to then.

thank you for your response! and yes there was no gaps, i have been continuously providing fit notes! i’m still a little bit confused though, does this mean that i will be getting paid my extra money this month as the 4 month period is already finished?

Yes, hopefully it will be added with your next payment, i.e. 27 Sept, & you will also be due payment for your assessment periods Jul-Aug & Aug-Sept too, so you're owed for 2 months.

okay that makes a lot more sense! thanks again for all of your help
