Hi @gillyhigson! Welcome to Scope online community, we have a very friendly and understanding community here
Firstly, do you have someone who is there to support you @gillyhigson? The information and process for getting support can often be complex and long, so it's often good to have someone alongside you that will support you. Do you have anyone you can ask to help you with that?
I'll get to helping you with the mattress but can I first of all ask if you've been to the GP if this is a recent issue? You should speak to your GP or another health professional if you've started having issues with incontinence. I know it can be a difficult thing to bring up, but GPs and other health professionals have dealt with such things a thousand times before.
For help with money, have you checked with your local authority if you meet the criteria for Disability-Related Expenses? I don't know if they would cover an entire mattress but they may be able to help in other areas to help keep costs down.
Turn2Us have both a Grants Search and a Benefits Calculator, if you have the previously mentioned person who can support you I recommend going through these with them. Hopefully you can find what you are entitled to help you with your situation!0
