Hello,

Ive just had my assessment and have been turned down for LWRCA. In the report they state i have issues walking more than 15 metres and that i have anxiety disorder.  (Both correct)

I sent in alot of evidence and have now been told im fit to work by UC.

I have been diagnosed with cronic pain in my legs and also diagnosed today with generalized anxiety disorder by my GP. I cant leave the house due to this and been told i have to attend appointments to look for work.  My GP has said ive most likely been suffering this since 2020 undiagnosed and will back me with aby claims i need.

Ive submitted a Mandatory reconsideration and asked them to contact my gp as they dont offer reports and have to be requested from UC.

Will they actually do that?

Sorry for the long post

Thanx

Ben

Hi hope your well I have recently won my appeal for lcwra just try to send as much information in as possible to support your claim, letters from a parent, doctor, cbt therapist and anyone else who knows about your conditions will most definitely help. I was knocked back after asking for a MR so don’t be put off if your are too, in my case they actually changed thier decision before going to tribunal. My case was definitely similar to yours. Good luck and hopefully you get the help you need

They used to send a form to ur go ti fill in re this as part of the assesment. Did you also get a access request from your gp for the records they have on you re your conditions.

My gp has had no contact from them at all.   He wasnt very happy about it either as he knows my full history over the years

Hi @benji1666. It's not uncommon for the DWP to not contact the health professionals you enter into the form, they put more stock in the assessment.

Can I ask, did you submit the MR via a phone call or in writing? If you phoned then I recommend sending a letter anyway so it's clearly in writing what you're requesting and the new/missed information you think needs consideration.

    Hi,

I done it via my Journal and cleatly stated twice my gp has requested to be contacted and i want them too aswell.

Ive just asked.my gp for a letter of support also.

Funny thing is my gp has been seeing me since i was born (always same gp too) and he laughed when he seen the report and said they can come and do his job as they have seen my medical problems and cured me all within 14 minutes on the phone.
