PIP - Have been waiting nearly 20 weeks now for a decision.

I had my assessment on the 11th of May 2023 and still have not had a decision back from them. I have tried phoning multiple times and have roughly spent 20/30 hours on hold and have not got through to anyone.
Does anyone have any advice or have experienced a similar situation themselves?
This is making my anxiety go through the roof and it feels like they just don’t care about how these things can affect people.

Hey @Jack981 and welcome to the community. You're in the right place for help and support for this.
Personally, I waited about 7 months between assessment and a decision, but times can vary wildly unfortunately.
I'm really sorry to hear it's affecting your anxiety. Do you have anyone to support you through all of this?0 -
Hi Albus! 7 months! That’s crazy.I’m currently on hold to the enquiry line now and have been for about 45 minutes. Hoping someone will pick up and be able to give me some sort of answers.Unfortunately I don’t have anyone around me for support so I’m just getting on with it I guess. I do appreciate the response though! I guess it really does vary massively case by case the waiting times.0

Oof, that hold music haunts your dreams after a while @Jack981, hopefully you wont have to listen to it for much longer!
Have you spoken to your local Citizens advice bureau? They can usually find someone to help you with this all if you feel it's getting a bit much? Though of course, if you have questions, we're all here to help each other.0
