Hi I have recently applied for pip and on Monday I had a letter asking for my bank details before they can make a payment.
Then on weds I got a text saying they still hadn't made a decision. I'm just curious as to why ask for my details if they haven't made a decision yet. Does this seem likely I'll get it? Any advice please? Or someone with a similar situation. Thanks

The texts are automatically sent to some people if a decision hasn't been made. Sometimes they will ask for bank details if they haven't already got them but i can't guarantee that it means you've been awarded. Hopefully not too long for a decision now but it can take up to 12 weeks after the report was returned.

Heya @lora88612 and welcome to the lovely community!
Sorry to hear about all this confusion, but as Poppy has said, the texts are automated, so things can get a bit messy and unclear.
As said, it sounds like they don't have your bank details on file, so they're asking so as to streamline things later in your claim. It'd be a longer wait if they had made a decision then had to wait for your bank details.
I really hope you get a definite answer to all of this soon.0
