Hi, when you request a mandatory Reconsideration is it a different decision maker that looks at your application or is it the same person who made the original decision?

It's a different decision maker.

During a Mandatory Reconsideration, a different decision maker than the one who made the original decision reviews your case, providing a fresh perspective for a fair evaluation.

I wouldn't call it a "fair evaluation." Only 23% of PIP MR decision's change. The majority of decisions are a copy and paste of the original decision, how can that possibly be fair?JarvisKemmer said:During a Mandatory Reconsideration, a different decision maker than the one who made the original decision reviews your case, providing a fresh perspective for a fair evaluation.

Hi all, although I have yet to receive a letter confirming, this morning I called the automated payment line to find my monthly pip had increased from £380 pcm (standard for both) to £556.40, which would lead me to believe that following my mandatory Reconsideration they have increased my mobility from standard to enhanced which is what I wanted- will confirm once I have received my letter.0
