Hello
I am new to posting in here, so apologies in advance for any inadvertent mistakes.
I had a horrible accident 4 years ago which has left me in a wheelchair and multiple surgeries. I began my journey on ESA contribution style and moved into UC after a year. I have supplied sick notes for 3 years continuously until the DWP asked me to stop them in January 2023. I just recently won at tribunal to move from LCW to LCWRA. Just a side note, I have been in receipt of full rate Mobility PIP for 3 years.

So, my question is..How is it decided how far back to go for arrears? Is it the judge or the DWP?
I go my letter confirming that I won my case a few days ago but does not have any other information in it.
Thanks for reading my post and many thanks for any insights.

Actually just had my question answered! I got a call from the DWP today, telling me how much my back pay was and that it would be in my bank account in 3 days time. Relieved it is finally over and they did not prolong the wait. The arrears was very fair btw.

Hi Hannah
Thanks for asking. I have had wonderful support from family and friends, so all good on that front! The hardest thing was going through covid lockdown as that started 3 months after my accident. a nightmare for us all 🙁
