Spoken again to Attendance Allowance. Did not want insurance number nor my name. I said I really needed confirmation that no AA would go ahead. Told that no claim will start until completed questionnaire is returned. If they don’t get it back they assume you don’t want to claim. Also said they don’t advise people who are on DLA to claim Attendance or PIP! It gets stranger and stranger every time I ring and speak to anyone at DWP!0

destinymoon said:Also said they don’t advise people who are on DLA to claim Attendance or PIP!Which is also misleading. As you weren't born before April 1948 then any changes would mean a claim for PIP. Of course, if you prefer you can claim AA but with no mobility part, this makes no sense. This just proves they are call centre staff and not someone from DWP itself. They have very very little knowledge of benefits and mostly sit there reading from a screen.0
