Hey everyone, hope you're all well!

I am about to report a positive change of circumstance to PIP and getting very anxious.

Could anyone explain the process for me please and what I will need to do?

Many Thanks!

You mention "positive" so i assume your conditions have improved? Please remember that PIP is about how your conditions affect you on the majority of the days. This means you do not need to have difficulties every single day. An improvement in your health doesn't automatically mean you're no longer entitled to PIP or a reduced award.

You must have also experienced the changes for at least 3 months. Please think carefully before reporting anything because i know with my health conditions i have times where i'm a little better than other times, especially during warmer weather. ( i still struggle alot during this time)

They may suspend your PIP if you report your condition has improved but i'm not 100% sure on this. You will be sent more forms to fill in and return with all your information and any supporting evidence. Another assessment is most likely too because most have them.

Please think carefully before doing anything else. I'd advise you to get some expert advice from an agency near you. This way you can tell them about how you're affected by your conditions and they can tell you whether this will affect your PIP or not. https://advicelocal.uk/welfare-benefits

Hi Poppy, thank you for the quick reply.

Yes, I was having frequent seizures which affected my mobillity. But after changes were made to my medication these are now less often and I am gaining more independence and able to go out more often.

I felt this was something I should report and just feel very anxious about the process as I don't know what to do or what to expect.
