Good evening, my reward was extended from October 15th 2022 - Oct 15th 2023 due to covid extension. They sent me a renewal form in April and they said they are still processing it.
Should I be concerned?
A friend sent off her review only 4 weeks before mine and had an assessment within 7 weeks.
She lives near so I'm really confused why there would.be a delay on mine for this long but not one month earlier on hers?
I received a text last month saying they was still reviewing it.
It was a tribunal award, do that change anything?
Thank you

Your PIP award should continue until a decision is made on your review but as you were awarded by a Tribunal i'd advise you to contact PIP to ask if it will continue. Although as it's already been extended i would expect it to continue until the decision is made. There are long delays for a lot of people for reviews. Your friend was an exception. This just proves that each individual case is different and it's not just backlogs that cause delays. We have members that are still waiting a whole year after returning the review form. Once an appointment becomes available then you will be contacted.0

Hi poppy.
OK thank you, I will ring them on Monday just to make sure.
The anxiety these reviews cause are so draining.
Thanks again!0 -
Hey woodbine,
Oh that's a long wait isn't it, I have read that it can take a while!
Was really hoping I'd avoid having an assessment but I think with my change of circumstances it's highly likely I will need one.
Good luck with the decision, Hope it's good news🤞1 -
Let us know how you get on @Sophs50522!
Seems to be a lot of PIP 2 year awards ending just now. I wonder if that coincides with the beginning of high inflation around late 2021.0 -

I will do!
My PIP was awarded for 3 years but lost a year with the appeal and then they extended a year with covid.
It comes around pretty quick doesn't it! I've heard they are supposed to be making assessments easier in the future whether that's true or not I don't know!
