Needing some help I’m totally confused, I first uploaded a sick line on the 1st of April was off work since the feb with sick lines but didn’t know I had to put them on UC as I’ve never had any dealings with them before this and was always on a zero payment until my wages stoped, they gave me a work coach and I was placed on new style ESA. Today 22/10/23 I have been awarded LCWRA. My assessment period is 16th to the 15th with UC payment being the 22nd can someone help with what gets paid and when please?

Based on the information you gave your waiting period for UC will be April/May, May/June, June/July..LCWRA starts from assessment period 16th July to 15th August and first payment will be 22nd August. Up to now they owe you 3 months LCWRA element. Also if you didn't previously have the work allowance then you'll be entitled to this from assessment period 16th March to 15th April. This means if you or a partner were receiving earnings from that AP then you'll be owed some money for this.Money owed often takes quite a few weeks to be paid and it's paid seperately to your usual monthly money. For New style ESA then extra money is paid from the 14th week of your claim. The amount deducted from UC for the ESA will also increase.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

LCWRA is same as Support Group. As advised above, the extra money will be from the 14th week of your claim.
