Hello, i have been awarded limited capability for work and work related activities. I have been awarded this from march 2022, so because of the wait period i have been awarded feom 17th august 2022. My uc goes from 13th of one month to the 14th of the following. Next payment due 20th november. Will i get extra payment on my next statement in november? Will i get backdated pay? If so is it paid with uc or seperate into bank, will i recieve a letter first wih amount and how long does it usually take?
Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to read.

You will receive the extra money in your next payment. LCWRA is part of UC and it's not a separate amount.Money owed will be paid separately and very often takes quite a few weeks to pay it. They first have to recalculate your past statements to work out how much you've already been paid against what you should have been paid. You will then be paid the difference between the 2. Once this is done you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you how much they owe.Once your statements are recalculated they will replace your exisiting ones so you may want to take copies of those now.0

Thank you, so how long will it take usually before i get a letter on my journal like how long does that usually take for them to do and then will it be a few weeks after that before recieveing any money owed or a few weeks in total from recieving the award. Thanks0

I can’t give an exact timescale I’m afraid but often quite a few weeks. Once payment is made if it’s sent as a BACS payment then it will be 3-5 working days after that when money will be in your bank.If you don’t receive a letter in the next few weeks then put a message onto your journal under the payment section and ask about the money that’s owed.0
