Sorry for making a thread about myself but just want to share that tomorrow will be my birthday and I will be 30  

Also to say happy birthday to Poppy123456 as I know she shares a birthday with me!!!

I feel a bit bad being 30 and having achieved so little compared to most people but I have to remember I had to deal with challenges that "most people" have no idea about let alone have to deal with first hand...

I am doing a lot better, just for the last month or so, really well actually. I made very slow progress for several years then recently it all came in one big wave. This is thanks to lots of factors but one of them is support from here…so thanks for that

I mourn the loss of my teens and 20s to health problems, because some say they are meant to be the best years. However my response is that I am going to make this decade make up for it - being 30 I am still young enough to do what I want, but unlike a teen/20something, old enough to not be naive and do stupid things...

So hopefully the next years will be a lot better

Oh now you've just spoiled my surprise. 

They say life starts in your 30s and I really think they're right.  Here's to lots more progress my friend, I hope tomorrow is amazing for you.

Same as Chiarieds, I've just sung happy birthday to my aunt, just as well I can't to you!

Must admit, I hated my 30th or in my head I did as it was kind of a crossover into adulthood. Not that I acted like a big kid. I lost the last 4 years of my 20s due to my accident, but had thoroughly enjoyed life until then. Still hated arriving at 30 though.

A pre happy birthday wish to both you & Poppy. I hope you both have a smashing day.

@JessieJ you could cheat and say those 4 years didn't count, so you were only actually 26.

@Albus_Scope I have heard some people deleting the Covid years from their age and saying they are 2 years younger!!!

Hey @66Mustang, I have a lot of similar feelings to you. I turned 30 this year as well and well... my teens and 20s certainly didn't go very well. With my undiagnosed ADHD and then my Crohn's disease starting at 19. I struggled a lot with feelings of being a failure and "wasting" those years.

But, I've realised those struggles are what made me who I am today. I've turned 30 in a much better place and I recognised that yes, 30 is still very young. I've still got decades of my life to do the things I want to and I'm better placed than ever to do them.

So to our 30s may we both have an excellent decade.
