UC LWRCA

Hi,

New to the forum and was looking for some info. I moved back to Scotland from Northern Ireland in Feb 2022. At the time I was in the ESA support group and due to natural migration was put into the UC LWRCA group when I returned to Glasgow.

My last review was back in 2018 (ESA), so it's been five years since I had an assessment. Would moving from ESA to UC affect anything in my case, or are reassessments still suspended. Slightly confused and would appreciate some advice. Cheers.

Heya @GlasgowJag and firstly a big welcome to the community!  I hope you're managing to keep dry today?

One of our fantastic regulars has made this post on all things UC/ESA migration, so it may be worth having a look there? If it's still leaving you confused, I know our regulars will be able to help more. :)

As you pointed out that you were already entitled to the LCWRA element from the start of your claim. Moving house 18 months ago wouldn’t have affected anything, if it has then you would have heard something by now.

Reviews did start back for selected few back in June but still suspended for most others. The LCWRA is an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise.

Thanks Albus but managed migration when a claimant receives a letter inviting them to claim UC.

Natural migration which is what happened here is when a claimant has a change of circumstances and needs to claim UC because of that change. For this reason some rules are different. I wouldn’t point them in the direction of the guide for this.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

No problem at all. UC is the most confusing benefit, in my opinion.
