What a relief for it to finally be over.
The guy who did the assessment was very, very kind. Is that a good sign? The phone assessment lasted about one hour. Towards the end of it he said, "We don't make the final decision, the DWP does, but I'd be very surprised indeed if you are not awarded PIP."
He also commented that "you have a lot of specialist input and are on significant medication."
What is specialist input??
Also, wouldn't all medication anyone takes be "significant."?

I'm pleased your assessor was very kind, & hope you have a good outcome @IMStruggling. The assessor really shouldn't have said anything near the end other than it's now up to a decision maker.Specialist input could mean anything from a Dr to a therapist's report. About your medication, it just sounds to me like he felt this was indicative of the level of problems you have.0

I wouldn't read too much into the wording. It seems like everyone gets called a 'specialist' in their field nowadays. I do feel sorry for the genuine specialists!0
