Will my husband's holiday pay affect his ESA?

My husband had a stroke last November and has been receiving ESA since June of this year. His employers have kept his job open for him and have now said that he has accrued holiday pay. Can anyone tell me if this will effect his ESA? Apologies if this has been asked before.

If he is not currently working then any holiday pay will not affect his New style ESA. If you're claiming any other benefits such as Universal Credit then it will be treated as income in the assessment period in which it's received.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Thank you for your very helpful reply. He's not on Universal Credit. He only receives PIP and ESA. Would you advise letting ESA know? We no experience in this area and its a bit of a minefield 😞

Hi @PurpleDelilah, welcome to the community I hope you and your husband are both doing well.
Just so you know, I've popped your post over to our ESA section where members with similar experiences can find it more easily and answer any questions you might have.

He can let them know but as I advised it will have no affect on his ESA.If he was working under permitted work rules then it would be different and it would be classed
as earnings.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
That's great. Thank you for your help.
