Whilst ADP has similarities with PIP, it would be good if you could also keep writing more about your experience with ADP, as we have comparitively few members claiming this. Hello @chiarieds & @Albus_Scope Thank You for the warm welcome

I put off applying for PIP as the process sounded horrendous as I guess you only see a lot of bad news.
So like most of us I struggled along as the thought of being put under the microscope made me anxious.

When I read about ADP being rolled out in Scotland I thought I will apply as the last decade has been a real challenge.
I have some physical issues and migraine issues which are both very debilitating.

So I applied in May and had a Telephone Assessment just recently and the HP said I should hear back within two weeks. The HP also said I can request a copy of the report after 3 days so I did phone and they said they put a note on the system to send out the report.
As it will hopefully give me an indication of what was written by the HP and their conclusion but I do also know that at the end of the day it will be the case managers decision too.
I know there is no guarantees with timescales so it's a patience thing at the moment. The telephone assessment wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and the HP was very understanding.
The HP Just asked a few questions as I don't think I went into enough information on some of the descriptors they needed.
I think you have to prepare yourself for a long haul as I imagine they are inundated with new claims and the migration of PIP to ADP. 
I will keep you up to date if I am awarded etc...

Thank you for such a detailed reply @Biscuits_with_Tea - it will be interesting to see if you do indeed get a decision in 2 weeks; the timescales for PIP are anything from 2-12 weeks, altho texts are sent out saying 8 weeks! I think you're right that they have been inundated with claims for ADP, which I hope is an easier system than PIP. Thank you too for saying you'll keep us all updated, as the more we learn about ADP the more it will help other members applying for this.

@chiarieds Thank You and yes like you said even if they say a specific timescale that might not be the case. I know it's about preparing yourself for having a lot of patience as I'm already over six months since application. I am prepared that it could potentially take another 8 - 12 weeks

Found out yesterday that my report was written by the HP and the case manager has it now.

It took the HP just over a week to write my report so that was quicker than I thought and now at least I know It's with the case manager.
