That's a standard text they often send those waiting for a review decision. The length of time a decision took after an assessment is no indication of anything other than you didn't have to wait long for a decision. If you want to know what that decision was you can ring PIP to ask. Although the text advises you not to ring them, it doesn't mean you can't.

Hi @fedup62, welcome to our community
I hope you're doing okay today. I know PIP reviews can be really stressful! The time between the review and the decision being made rarely indicates whether it's accepted or not. It's really just how backlogged, or not, they are in the area usually!
As Poppy says, you can call to find out more quickly. If you've any issues we're here to help support you.
I'm also just going to move this into our PIP category incase you do have further PIP issues0 -
Thank you both for the information
my review should have been done by November 2022 but because of the backlog that’s why I had my reassessment this month
the waiting for the letter is so stressful

@fedup62
Good morning I totally understand how your feeling, I was very uptight waiting on word on my review, I didn’t receive a txt just a letter 14 days after mine, the date on the letter was actually only 8 days after my review.
Some people wait a long time and some are quicker.
I hope you hear soon and get a good outcome.Good luck0 -
Hi, I know how your feeling, tbh whenever PIP reviews come around I get myself worked into such a state, even though I know I can’t change anything. On a different note, can I ask Jimm_Scope a question? I’ve noticed on a few posts the comment of moving the questions into the PIP Category when, tbh I thought this was the PIP category. Can anyone enlighten me on this? Thanks!0

Yes, this is the PIP section. Sometimes members will ask questions in the welcome section or another section so a member of the team will move the thread to the most appropriate section, like they did here.

Aah, right - I’ve just realised the question was moved from another section to this one, which is the PIP section. Another indication of my constant brain fog. Thanks for clearing that up!0

I've had the same thing, but mine's been on going as was on enhanced rate, that dropped to just standard daily living. Appealed & it dropped again!
I'm more waiting for the letter & scared witless as can't afford to have it drop again or stop as we can't put the heating on
I did a change of circumstances form & regret not doing that instead of the appeal as they took NONE of the loads of evidence we sent in with the very long letter
If it drops or stops, we won't be able to run the car & would lose Carers Allowance if I lost it

My update: Had my decision letter yesterday & it went back upto enhanced for both plus back dated to Sept!
Should have really been Apr, but grateful for that as really didn't know which way it was gonna go plus a 10 yr review!!
All because we did it as a change of circumstances, if only I'd known that & not done the appeal, this saga would have ended alot sooner1 -
I'm very glad to hear of your success @Kaala, that's great news!0

I put my forms in 2 weeks ago now got a text saying it's completed no face to face assessment or call nothing I am so scared

Hello there @libbym and welcome to the community.
Please try not to worry too much. If they feel they have enough evidence to make a decision, they will do a "paper based assessment" so that's may be what has happen. 😊1 -
But just a week have there ever looked at it properly I can't sleep for worrying

It can happen @libbym What did the text specifically say?

Overview

The text message "Your PIP review is complete. You should receive your decision letter in 2 weeks" indicates that the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has completed your Personal Independence Payment (PIP) review and that a decision has been made. You will receive a letter with the outcome within two weeks. You should not contact the DWP before receiving the letter, as they will not be able to disclose the decision over the phone. If you are unhappy with the decision, you can contact the DWP after receiving the letter.

Oh wow, yes that'll be a paper based assessment! That could be a good thing, so don't panic too much. Plus even if it's not what you were hoping for, you can still ask for a MR. 😊

Hi at the moment I'm on adult DLA high rate mobility ,i know at some point I'm going to have a letter saying I need to claim and move over to pip instead , will that get classed as a new claim in light of the changes to the welfare reform debate , or will it be simular to migrating from esa to universal credit was.thanks you for any kind of advice or help
0 -
Hi @deewhite I'm afraid I don't actually know the answer to that one. But I think it'd be classed as a managed migration, so shouldn't use the upcoming new rules.
