Pip assessment

Hi guys,
currently receiving ESA support group contribution based for over a year now. I had my telephone assessment for PIP last Thursday, no text yet to state report received. Does everyone get a text, is mine slower as I’m in receipt of another benefit? The usual train of thought! I’m thinking no text means unsuccessful, my assessment took 1 hour & 20 mins, nice lady, I felt it still touch on everything but maybe enough points already? Reading about these quick text turnarounds is very off putting. Anyone awarded weeks later with no text and in receipt of another benefit? Thanks guys!

Hi @Julia23, welcome to the community Hope we can help with your questions.
Just to clarify, do you know who did your assessment? I had mine October 16th with IAS and the DWP sent me a text several hours later saying they had received the report. The next text I got was 16 days later (31st October) saying they had not yet made a decision, I received my decision by the end of that week.
Are you saying you've not even received the "we've got your assessment report" text from the DWP?
Just want to clarify, incase there's been an issue with the assessor or with the DWP. Hopefully we can help figure out who to contact!
I'll also move this over to our PIP category Plenty of people there knowledgeable about the PIP process.1 -
Receiving another benefit is irrelevant to the report being returned. Sometimes reports take longer to be returned than others. Sometimes they are also chosen for audit. If this happens it's nothing for you to worry about it just means they are checking the assessor did their job correctly. The only issue is that it does delay the report being returned. The length of time a decision takes is no indication of what the award maybe.1

OOps, let me edit that. Clearly I've been spending too long reading those tips to help with savings.1

You can contact IAS to ask if the report has been returned. If it is they will tell you. If it’s in an audit they will also tell that this.
