Hi I recently won my pip claim at tribunal and have seen some posts saying, when it comes to renewal, I would have to put a new claim in from the very beginning.
Is this correct? This will be very stressful and once again, time consuming.
My other concern is my Motability car, if I have to re-apply for pip at renewal, I will be without a car for several months, and seems pointless for me to go and buy/finance another car that I will only have to re-sell at a later date
Can anyone shed a light on this please

Great news! Yes, usually when a decision is made by a Tribunal DWP will contact you about 14 weeks before your award is due to end, asking if you want to continue to claim then you need to ring to start a claim. At the moment due to the backlogs with decisions for existing claimants DWP are extending awards until a new decision is made. Whether this will be still in place when your current award is due to end I have no idea. You will just need to wait to see what the situation at that time. For a mobility vehicle you must have at least 12 months remaining on your award to order a vehicle. Any current lease can be extended while waiting for any future decision.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
