Will a change of circumstances be backdated?

My review wasn't due until Nov 2024 but I reported a decline in my health at the start of August, I completed a new review form and had a telephone assessment a couple of weeks ago. I got a text saying a decision was made so I called the helpline to check my next payment amount.
My award appears to have been increased based on my next payment (which falls on the same date it was due anyway).
My question is will the increased amount be backdated to when I made the request for a review and if so how long will it take to get processed?
Thanks

Providing you had the increased difficulties for at least 3 months when you reported the changes then yes, paid from when you rang to report it.
