SCOPE on Question Time!

Scope was name-checked last night by Alison McGovern, shadow minister for employment. She didn't seem to be well briefed though and the audience wasn't impressed with her plug for a Labour government
One brave disabled woman spoke loudly and clearly about the damaging reforms already in place including the Med 3 supporting evidence watered down in 2016. Nobody clapped though. Either they didn't understand her or didn't care

It was a bit of a brief mention, but it was there! For anyone who didn't see, Labour's Alison McGovern talked about Scope's employment services as an example of how to help disabled people find suitable work.
For anyone who'd like to catch up on it, the full show is on iPlayer and YouTube. Scope's mention was around the 33 minute mark.
What did you think of the discussion, @WhatThe?2 -
It was the Autumn Statement of course and a mixed bag.
I was disappointed with Alison McGovern who has been good in opposition I've always thought. I think it's a hard sell and she seemed to know so I'd like to see her in another role soon!
I mean the help and support available for disabled people to prepare for work/return to work/stay in work has been shouted from the rooftops since the launch of ESA in 2008... (sorry Scope)
There was one brave businessman who spoke in favour of immigration and against National Minimum Wage increases, National Insurance cuts etc on the basis that we'd borrowed money for thurlough and it hasn't been paid back.
And there was one very animated new MP who would suddenly settle after waving his hands and arms around Isabel Oakeshott's face. Incredibly chauvinistic whatever we might think of her
