Questions and answers
I'm going to use this post to answer any questions as we receive them.Q. How much time will I need to give?
Answer:
Only as much as you would like, there is no strict time requirement. We will not expect co-production members to be online or respond at certain times and you can choose which topics you'd like to get involved with.
Q. What are you looking for in a candidate for the co-production group?Answer:
We are looking for someone who is invested in and cares about the online community and wants to help us make it a better place. They should be willing to discuss ideas, share opinions and be respectful of the ideas of other people.
Q. Will I need to attend meetings, travel or be in-person?
Answer:
You will not have to travel anywhere and nor will there be any in-person events. Communication will take place in a private category on the community itself. We may hold optional, infrequent, virtual meetings but these will not be mandatory, and cameras and microphones would be also optional for attendees.

@Jimm_Scope What criteria will be used to select members for the Co-Production Group? Is there a deadline for submitting the application form, and what is the expected timeline for the selection process?0 -
Great questions @MW123.
We'd like a variety of people as we want different opinions and ideas. We're looking for people who represent the community's core values and are willing to listen to and discuss ideas from other people as well as their own and we'll look at people's conduct while on the community to help us assess suitability.
We're hoping to get the discussions started by mid-December so hoping to have a batch of applications in as soon as possible.
The plan currently is to keep applications open, so if someone wishes to join at a future date they are always able to discuss this with us. However, if the group grows too large we may need to revisit that and look to having applications open sporadically through the year.0 -
Hope it's OK to say, but I hope you do apply @MW123 - I find you're helpful & informative in the community, show understanding, sensitivity & empathy for others amongst other qualities.@Adrian_Scope - would this not better be made a sticky higher up as it's slowly sliding down this category with all the games?3

That is a great idea @chiarieds I have gone ahead and stuck it to the top in the Coffee Lounge and Recent Discussions3

Thank you for applying @woodbine Yes previous members will have to re-apply.1

Can someone be o the OCCPG and the Scope Assembly? I was on the last OCCPG but since that shut down I've been elected on to the Scope Assembly.1

Good question @daz2 I'm not 100% on the answer, so I'll ask the powers that be when they're back.0

Do we get paid for this?0

That's a shame @Beaver79, but I will ensure @Jimm_Scope knows. If you'd like to discuss the reasons why, please send me a PM.
@daz2 thank you for your query. We're still waiting on confirmation but will get back to you ASAP.1 -
Peter_88 - There are two Scope Assembly's. One for younger members & one for adults. They are made up of members of Scope who are elected to act as advisors to the Trustees and Executive and pass on the views of Scope members. Someone can be on the Assembly for two terms. There have been two elections this year. I don't know when the next one is.1

Hi everyone! I took a holiday so was away, I'll try to respond to any questions you may have
@daz2 There's nothing stopping you from applying while a part of the Scope Assembly. This is a separate co-production group for active members of our community.
@durhamjaide2001 It is a volunteer position, it is not paid. Nearly all discussion will be done on the community here, in a private category. There isn't going to be any shifts or set times for discussion. The aim right now is most topics should take a minimum of 2 weeks to go through, with that being extended if necessary. That should be enough time for every member of the co-production group to discuss their thoughts and ideas about whatever the topic is! Just discussing things in discussions, like we are here Just in it's own separate area.
Though we could look at virtual meetings in the future if the co-production group, once it is formed, feels it would be helpful.1 -
We'll be sending out emails next week @woodbine
Applications will remain open though, so if someone reading this is considering but hasn't put in an application yet there is still time1 -
