POEM - Christmas is coming.

Well here we are:

Christmas is coming.

 

 Christmas is coming, its turned December 1st

Have you bought any presents, you know its that time of year.

I’ve asked the boss, just what she want's.

“Just try to surprise me,”  like you did last year.

 

I thought that should be easy, but then I thought , WHAT?

I remember I had brain fog, and relied on some type of wot not.

OH brain not again, I can’t go through that again

Give me some ideas, just to keep, me, sane.

 

I had a bit of a brain wave, I’ll use google in my search

And see what I had Googled, yes at this time last year?

It said I looked at Jewelry, and cloths, all shapes and sizes

And then I remembered It was TESTER, OH yes, my little friend.

 

Do you remember TESTER, they sell it every where

I could never understand how, each shop has a different smell?

As long as it makes her happy that’s what it's all about

So that’s my main present sorted, I’m having a glass or two of STOUT.

 

Its been a funny year, of all, up’s and downs

And on reflection I’m lucky, still, to be here

As some things have not gone well

But life’s been good to me, because I’m still enjoying life,

And of course I’m still married to my wife.

 

Let you know, how things go, now the tree is up

The days that were weeks, will accelerate along

And before you know it, this Christmas will all be gone

Don’t let another year go by, without contacting a friend

 

But also remember past family Christmas’s, when laughter filled your ears.

Its not hard to rekindle, anything, at this time of year.

Spare a thought, for loved ones past, and remember the times you had,

And just remember, who birthday it really is, at least, at, this time of year.
