Help needed to fill out DLA form

Good morning all and Hello!
I’m new to the group, and came here to ask for help with DLA forms.
I’ve applied for the form, still waiting for it to arrive. In the meantime I’ve had a look at the form online and noticed many of the questions are quite tricky for me to answer. My son has suspected ADHD and autism, and was advised to apply for DLA but many of the questions don’t apply, mainly due to him being able bodied. This doesn’t mean his behaviour isn’t challenging or time consuming more than anything.
I’ve just started a new job and struggling to get there on time because he makes me late. He’s awake half the night, as am I, he then can’t get up in the morning or sometimes won’t get up rather than can’t. I’m really tired because he keeps me awake. He’ll only wear certain clothes, eat certain foods, and won’t leave the house without washing his hair, even though he won’t get in the bath or shower, he washes his hair over the bath, or should I say I wash his hair over the bath. Hes obsessed with his hair and his appearance but hates brushing his teeth.
He’s obsessed about how he smells, he drowns himself in aftershave so he smells nice.
School is also a challenge most days. He wonders around the school, and won’t sit down. He’s now referred to as the pied piper of his school because he has this bizarre ability to gather crowds on his travels. He collect other children along the way and they follow him round the corridors. Then many staff are deployed to deal with the situation. They’re able to get the other children under control but my son acts like he’s invisible, he just non responsive to the teachers, it’s really odd.
He literally sings his way through the day both in school and at home.
School meetings take up much of my time as you can imagine.
My son is extremely bright, he’s recently completed a cognitive test. His score was outstanding, the best since 2016 in his school and that boy scored one point more than him and was an A level student. My son is year 9. So it’s really frustrating that he won’t comply in school.
So I have a very challenging child who displays behaviour that’s not questioned on the DLA form.
Has anybody else had this issue and been successful with their application?
Any advise gratefully received

Heya @Kellyloulou and a very late welcome to the community!
I'm sorry to see no one was able to offer any help here. Sometimes when it's super busy posts get a bit lost. So I thought I'd just check in to see how you were getting on and give your post a little boost.
Did you manage to complete the application?0 -
