Mental Heatcare for Benefits

My local NHS CMHT are awful. They've left me in limbo for 3 months with no medication, ,no treatment plan or follow ups. I can NEVER get through to them. I've emailed, phoned, only to be literally IGNORED.
I'm in the process of making an official complaint with an advocacy but that's taking just as long. I desperately want to get private healthcare but obviously it's expensive.
So if anyone knows of anywhere in London that does reasonably priced psychiatric treatment or discounts for people on benefits, that would be amazing. I've looked online and can't find anything.
Thanks in advance guys

Sorry I've looked myself and there is no such thing really. Anyone that is cheap is cheap for a reason.
Sorry I can't be of more help, but just wanted to save you the hassle of looking in vain.
A random idea but would going to A&E be an option? My local team say not to do this unless you are in crisis but it's up to you to decide if you are in a crisis.1 -
Hi thanks for your reply. I couldn't find anything either unfortunately. How about health insurance that covers pre existing medical conditions and would cover the cost of therapy/mental health assessments?0
-
That is not necessarily true, I have had some insurance through my partners work before that covered all Mental Health issues, pre-existing or not. It's very common for physical pre-existing though that it is not covered.0

Just incase anyone is interested. I just found this..

Therapy in London for just £35 per session. No need to be on benefits or a low income either, that's just the rate. Not sure what it's like as I've just come across it but is affordable private therapy.
All the best guys0 -
Hi @Danlangridge88, apologies, but we've had to remove your link as this community does not allow links to sales.0

Hi there I have just moved and find my community team to be good but my old team I had problems with and had to make a complaint once I made the complaint they completely changed and was better it’s worth making a complaint . Going private is very expensive so I would recommend making a complaint that should work .1

I made an official complaint in the end and got an appointment with psychiatrist finally. I requested to change mental health teams to a different area but was told that's not possible although I know it is. Anyway I've been on the waiting list for like 8 months so don't want to transfer otherwise I'll lost my position in the queue. But in future I'm going yo ask to not be seen by SLaM0

I'm glad you were at least able to talk to someone finally @Danlangridge88.0
