Wondering after reading other threads, if people have ever been in the media. TV, radio, newspaper, or, I guess these days a high profile YouTube or social media channel would count as well?

I personally have never been on any sort of public media but have family members who have.

Wondering about others.

Just a warning be careful about sharing too much that you become personally identifiable.

I have over the years. But then, when I was at school, it was common that if you school did something or a long-standing teacher was leaving, there'd be a picture of all the students in the paper!

I also found through ancestry research, that many people are in the papers with announcements, some having photographs. I wonder how many of us have been mentioned without knowing.

    Good point @Hannah_Scope!

I should change my statement to: I have never knowingly been in the media! :D

I was on sky and other news. And papers Many many years ago. But don’t want to say why. I didn’t do anything bad I was a victim

on a lighter note As a very young kid I made the local paper for winning a poem for a baked beans advert.

I wrote a small part of a guardian article once. And I've been on a youtube podcast due to a previous online community I was in charge of. (definitely not high-profile though so perhaps doesn't count?, it was in a very niche videogame sub-genre)
They/Them, however they are no wrong pronouns with me so whatever you feel most comfortable with

My sister Tina. In the daily  mail last year on , what would have been her birthday. She passed in 2021 aged 55years with cp. Her story, in Entitled -extraordinary lives section. It was so difficult for me to write. How do you get over her amazing life in 500 words! Tina was often in the local news, because of her communication. She was sometimes the first to try a new voice/ lightwriter machine. So proud of her and miss her ball of energy she was , full of true grit and determination.

I have over the years been in the media a lot. I have been in lots of newspapers, appeared on the BBC and on ITV. I had to travel a lot around the country to appear on different radio stations. I was also invited to appear at the Isle of Wight festival, but turned it down as that was about the time I started to get ill.

I was in the local paper dressed as a mouse when I was five, but that's about it for my experience of fame and fortune :D

I was in the local newspaper this year because I volunteered to make blankets for old people for Age UK.

I've been in a newspaper at least 3 times.  And on TV at least twice.

I say at least as there may be more I've forgotten, or indeed more that I wasn't aware of as suggested above.

In my football playing days I used to be in the local papers weekly ... reminded me I have a press cuttings book somewhere.  Would be interesting to look at how fit and agile I once was  :p

My daughter has been on the news and twitter after saving the life of a pro rugby player

The funniest is my son being interviewed by Sky News on the way to Euro 2016 and how the Welsh weren't going for trouble ... 6 hours later Sky News showed images of their stand off with Russian Ultras outside a pub  ;)

Was a viral video circulating for months with Welsh and English fans singing their solidarity ... mind you there was also a video of him naked behind a bar in a gay club serving customers.  Can choose your friends ...
