I am posting to give everybody hope if you get turned down for pip due to me having 3 slipped disc's in my neck which has left me in pain and mobility issues which required surgery which i had in October 2023.I put my claim in on 29th of November 2022.I scored 6 points for the care and 4 points for mobility.I then did a mandatory reconsideration in February 2023 and scored the same.I then decided to take it to tribunal and also get my local Mp involved. I gathered med ical evidence to help with my dispute. I had the surgery on my spine in October 2023 but I still have the same problems with my health if not worse.I won the appeal by video call.I did this on my own without help which was extremely stressful but I did it.I was only wanting to win something to help towards me being off work as I only get SSP.never expected to get the result of 12 for care and 14 for mobility.I hope anybody else feeling like giving up DONT as you just don't know how things turn out and DWP get things wrong.

@warton That's great news! I am so glad you were finally awarded. It must have felt like such a relief

I was so over overwhelmed at the decision tbh.Since having the surgery on my spine(acdf surgery) I have also been left with no voice and when I had the video tribunal it was extremely difficult to speak but the judge and the people at the panel where very understanding of this and couldn't of been any nicer.I was only wanting the 2 extra point's so I could get a bit of help before and after my surgery as I don't get paid from work whist I'm off.0

@warton I'm so sorry you have been left with no voice. Are you still getting support from your consultant / specialist?0

Hi yes still under the surgeon yet and been referred to a ear, nose and throat specialist.
Also had a phonecall today of dwp saying I will be being paid arrears in the next 7 to 10 days
It's made my new year off to a fantastic start and taken all the stress away,I am still trying to take it all in.2 -
