Hello. I’m new to this forum and wondered if anyone could offer some guidance. I’ve been on Universal Credit since July 2023 & received notification that I was due a cost of living payment between 31st Oct to 17 Nov but I’ve still yet to receive it. My work coach has told me to contact the Gov website but I’ve tried that but it’s taking me in circles. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know, if would be appreciated. Many thanks. Andy

What you seen on your journal was a standard message for everyone. It wouldn’t have told you that you were definitely entitled to it.
Claiming UC since July wouldn’t have automatically entitled you to it. You would be entitled to it if you were entitled to a payment of UC for an assessment period that ended between 18th August and 17th Sept. Not everyone is entitled to it.Some people will have had their UC reduced to zero for that assessment period so wouldn’t have been entitled to it.Did you receive a payment for an assessment period that ended during that period? If you so, did you report a missing payment on the gov.uk website at the time? That link has now been removed so I’m not sure exactly what you can do other than to put a message on your journal to tell them the report a missing payment link no longer exists.0 -
Thank you Poppy I very much appreciate your reply. I’ll report this to my work coach but I’m guessing I won’t have been allocated as it’s now January and there’s no sign and it would’ve been issued to me. Thank you again

Were you definitely entitled to a payment for the assessment period that ended between the qualifying dates? If so did you report the missing payment on the gov.uk website when the link was available?0

Thank you again poppy. I had a DWP text message during early October advising I would be getting the payment during 31st October and 17th Nov. I have looked up the contact details for the DWP but i can’t find an e mail. I speak with a pronounced stammer which make’s telephone calls a problem but will try my best this afternoon. Your help and guidance is very much appreciated thank you again.0

Yes but that message you received doesn’t mean you were definitely entitled. Some people received that text that weren’t entitled to it.There’s no email address for contacting anyone about the CoL payments.0
