Hi, i am on UC and I have been on sick since June '23, I have also provided sick notes from June '23. I have been awarded Lcwra. Do i still have to wait the three months period before receiving any payments? My next UC is due on the 15th. Very confused how it works.

There's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time. The extra money is then paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition/provided your first fit note. First payment will then be at the end of the 4th month.Based on the information you gave your first payment will be either Oct or Nov 2023. The exact date will depend on what date exactly you reported your health condition/provided your first fit note. You must also have provided fit notes without any gaps until a decision was made on your claim.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

I know it was June you provided it but that doesn't help me to tell you exactly when it's paid from. Before i can give exact advice i'll need to know the exact date in June you provided it because there's 30 days in June.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thank you. Then your waiting period will be July/Aug, Aug/Sept, Sept/Oct.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 9th Oct to 8th Nov and first payment will be 15th November. This means up to now they owe you 2 months LCWRA element.Money owed will be paid separately to your usual monthly money and often takes quite a few weeks to pay it. You need to check your next statement to make sure this months LCWRA element is included.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
