Paper review

Good morning guys,
I requested a coc form on 30/10/23 and had a text they had received it back on 16/11/23..
Today I recieved a text saying “your Pip review is complete”. I have not had any assessment face to face or telephone call. This seems really quick, by some posts on here, should I be worried?
it says not to ring them but know I can ring any time, how soon would the decision be on the system, does anyone know? Also is there a phone number that would give you information of your next pay day, I am due a payment on 18/1/24, worried they have cancelled that payment.

Sorry just worried. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your reply. I have been on PIP for about seven years and this is the first time I have needed to contact them. Things could have changed in that time but once again thank you for the insight.0

As you’ve received a text to say it’s completed I would expect them to be able to see what that decision is on the system now. Text messages are usually sent once the system has been updated with the new decision. It’s rare to be refused after a paper based assessment, though it can happen.0

Thank you poppy123446 for your reply. I will ring them now and update you all. I was concerned it was so quick. Thank you0

Hi rang pip and they have allowed me enhanced daily living, which I have been receiving but not mobility.I will wait for the decision letter and see the reason why. Do they tell you the reason for declining it? Thanks0

Hi @Sue2008, If you contact them, you can ask for a copy of your report which should hopefully clear up where you might not have been awarded points. Were you receiving mobility before your review?0

Hi my award has remained the same. Since I first applied for pip my emphysema and microvascular angina has really impacted on my mobility, which was why I asked for a coc, I didn’t need mobility u til these last 6 months or more. As I didn’t have an assessment, they have only my answers on the form to judge. Can I ring for a copy of my report before I get the decision letter? Thanks

Hi I did not request a paper review.0

You don’t need to request a paper based assessment, if they can do that, they will if there’s enough of information. If your file was sent to the health assessment providers then there will be an assessment report. If it wasn’t then there won’t be a report. For reviews and CoC your file is sent to a decision maker first. They will then look at your claim to see if a decision can be made without sending it to the assessment provider. The only way to find out is to ring and ask if there’s an assessment report this time. If there is they will send it to you. You do not need to wait for the decision letter.0
